Clare Nordbruch is a Hampshire-based abstract artist. Raised on the Isle of Wight, Clare displayed a passion for the arts from a young age, and would go on to spend over 40 years in the entertainment industry.
After working exclusively in the visual arts sector since 2014, Clare has proven herself a multifaceted creative, finally stepping into the role of ‘master’ as she launches her debut mixed media collection. Inspired by nature, energy, and destruction, the works are a result of exploration and introspection, and, just like nature, harbour opposing extremes; from the playful pastel washes of At Peace to the vivid and harsh scrubs, strokes and scrapes of When The Fires Die, What Will Remain?, Clare’s interpretation of the dynamic forces of Mother Earth leave much to the imagination, inviting viewers to apply their own meaning to the piece.
Clare finds a place for discarded materials through a multi-media approach, incorporating recycled metal, paper and fabric alongside the contrast of fresh paint, pastel and marker and melding materials together to create a timeless image.
